$4,000 Elaine A. Davis Scholarship, due April 30
The Association of Black Educators of NY Inc. (ABENY) Scholarship is an award for New York City public high school seniors who will graduate this school year. Applicants must have high academic standing and demonstrate leadership in school and community.
Required for application:
1. One community service reference and two references from school staff.
2. One typewritten page explaining why your should be awarded a scholarship, with the title "ABENY Scholarship Essay.”
3. A resume which includes extra-curricular activities, community service and school service
4. An original passport sized photograph to be used in a brochure if you win the scholarship

Applications should be emailed to Education Chair Dr. Sheilah Bobo at [email protected] by April 30.
The ABENY Scholarship recipients will be honored at ABENY's June Luncheon which will take place on Saturday, June 17, from 12 Noon - 1 PM, at Antun's in Queens Village.
