Haydee is a first generation Mexican-American college graduate from Brooklyn who loves to travel. She was brought up by public schools in Brooklyn and then moved on to higher education at Fordham University where she earned her degree with the support of the Higher Education Opportunity Program. Since then, she has held leadership roles in education in underserved communities that led her to discover her passion for empowering youth through high school into higher education. She understands the challenges that exist for students in NYC so she works towards making the college and financial aid processes more accessible for them and their families with the end that they have the opportunity to positively change the trajectory of their life through informed decisions. With over a decade of experience, Haydee is excited to continue her work as the CBI Director of College Counseling at UA Maker alongside teachers, staff, administrators for students and their families.
