Dear Maker Community,
Thank you so much for all of your contributions to our Community Potluck at the end of December. If you haven’t yet had a chance to view the montage, click here. We loved the food you shared with us and enjoyed the company of our family volunteers!
Amidst all the joy and festivities we also want to make sure academic deadlines also stay on your radar. Marking Period 2 ends this Friday, December 1st. Talk with your children about finishing up their assignments and completing any needed reassessments.
We look forward to inviting you to our Winter Wonderland spirit week activities the week of December 18th. There will also be incentives for on-time arrival and attendance above 90%. Please encourage your children to be with us on time everyday the more we’re with us the more magical learning is possible!

Attention Seniors!!!!
Senior pictures will take place at Maker on December 14th. The sitting fee is $20. Students should wear what they would like to be photographed in to school on that day. A cap and gown will be provided and a "graduation" picture will be taken. We will also have items to simulate a more formal appearance that students may use if they would like to do so. Digital photo albums will be shared with the student (to the student email) once the $20 sitting fee is paid. Families are welcome to share and/or print as many pictures from the digital album as they would like for no additional cost. NOTE: there will not be a way to order photo packages this year. Once the digital albums are shared, families can use online printing websites to print cost effective photos.
To pay senior dues, students can bring CASH to Clint's office (room 408) or families can pay on the UA Maker website. Use this link to see costs and pay.
If senior dues present financial hardship, please reach out to Clint privately so we can help you fundraise and/or cover some costs!
Opportunities for Work-Based Learning
Tutoring
We will be launching both teacher and peer tutoring initiatives beginning in December! Come to the PTA meeting next week to hear more and keep an eye out for updates on our website.
MLK Jr. Day of Service
