Dear Maker Families,
Happy May!
Maker had a fun string of events right before Spring Break. Our amazing Seniors wrote, produced, performed and directed our first Maker play; if you didn't get a chance to see it, check it out here! And, thank you for all of your support at our annual Movers and Makers Fundraiser - it was a big success!
We hope you and your family had restful and restorative breaks. Makers have had a positive return to school, and are busy working hard to close out Marking Period 5 today. Our final Marking Period begins on Monday and we look forward to finishing the year strong at Maker!
In our newsletter you'll find upcoming events, information about academic support for the end of the year (including after school and Saturday Regents support and tutoring). Once again our building will be closed for the summer for facility repairs, and we will have our Summer School located at the Harbor School on Governors Island for students in need of credit recovery.
Please make sure to review your child's report card with them when it comes home in the upcoming weeks to celebrate their successes and make plans to focus on areas in need of growth for the last marking period so that they close the year on track to graduate in terms of Regents and credits.
