JUNIORS and SENIORS: What is Trade School?

If you enjoy hands-on, experiential learning and seeing the results of your hard work, a trade profession might be a great fit for you! Trades are highly skilled jobs that require focused, specialized training - like plumbing, carpentry, IT, cosmetology, and so much more. These types of trades are typically taught through trade schools. Not sure what a trade school is? This page will tell you everything you need - including why they’re important, where to find high-quality trade programs near you, and why trade schools can be a great alternative to a 4-year college education for some students. Sophomores: Want to Prepare for next year's SAT? FOR FREE?

College Passport at University Settlement is excited to announce that the application for our early FREE Saturday SAT Prep program for 10th graders is now LIVE! Apply here: https://forms.office.com/r/Ha4Bib8J4M.

Sophomore Skills is an intensive, small-group test prep program for students with an emphasis in math and English – the key areas tested on the SAT and on regents exams. As part of the program, students will be required to take a PSAT in which their scores will be used to determine the level of academic support they will need. Students will also receive a free SAT English and math book in addition to weekly metro cards for transportation.
